It is all about the Pearls this month, after all they are one of June’s birthstones!

June technically has 3! Alexandrite, Moonstone and Pearl. I have decided to focus on Pearls as they are simply classic and timeless.

They come in a whole array of shapes, sizes, and colours too. There is so many possibilities.

Perfect for any occasion in my opinion. Weddings are a popular choice for Pearls, they make the perfect bridal jewellery. Pair them with a black dress to just ooze style. Large Pearls with a chunky knit for a more nautical feel. Oh, I could go on and on!

How you choose to wear them, show them off in all their glory!

Now, Pearls need a little looking after to keep them looking their best. Keep them away from other jewellery pieces that may scratch and damage them. Store them in a fabric bag inside your jewellery box, never store in plastic bags, they need to ‘breathe’

Only pop them on once lotions and perfumes etc have sunk into the skin (you should do this for all jewellery really) and apply hair spray before wearing Pearl earrings. All these things can damage their lustre.

Once you have worn them give them a wipe over with a damp cloth before storing away. These steps should keep your Pearls looking fabulous.
